Billy Preston went to the top of the US singles chart with
 "Nothing From Nothing"…
This was Billy’s  second and final number one… (R.I.P. Billy Preston)

73-year-old Etta James announced her decision to retire following the release of her latest album… 




As well as her 1961 R'nB smash "At Last", James also placed 9 songs on the Billboard Top 40 Pop chart between 1960 and 1968…


Etta passed away on 
January 20, 2012…
