 Sun releases "Flyin' Saucer Rock n' Roll" by Billy Riley and His Little Green men… The cut features Roland Janes on guitar and Jerry Lee Lewis on piano and is a rockabilly classic…


January 12, 1961: Shep and the Limelights reach #2 with  the Doo-Wop Classic "Daddy's Home"… 


January 12, 1963: Les Cooper & the Soul Rockers hit #22
with the classic instrumental
 "Wiggle Wobble”…

November 14, 1956: Jerry Lee Lewis cuts his first record - "End of the Road" b/w "Crazy Arms" for Sun. It is credited to Jerry Lee Lewis and His Pumping Piano...



November 14, 1956:  

Sam Phillips is at the mixing board for Jerry Lee Lewis' first Sun Records recording session...



The session produces the single 
"End Of The Road" / "Crazy Arms"...





Although the single failed to gain much attention, both songs showed a drive and energy that forecasted things to come….

Sam's most well known as being the person who discovered Elvis Presley, but...
