 By the end of the night however, with the help of other artists on the bill, the audience was cheering for the Lubbock, Texas band…

  

Also on the bill that night were Roy Hamilton who was probably pushing his Unchained Melody which was a hit for him that year—Ironically, one that would be covered by “some other white guys
—The Righteous Brothers,
a few years later…

 Shep And The Limelites  (most likely doing Shep’s old band THE HEARTBEAT’s hit) were on the bill…

And Clarence "Frogman" Henry, DEFINITELY doing his 1957 “signature” hit…
