July 21: A great day in the EVOLUTION OF ROCK ‘n ROLL…



  Louis Jordan, Joe Liggins and Wynonie Harris had been bringing the “Jazz Age” into the “R&B” Scene for years by the time “Jazz” great Peggy Lee caught the “Fever” from Detroit’s Little Willie John and made it her own...

—They were all greats in what was known as “Race Music” at the time, but became the genre generally known as Rhythm & Blues!
