July 22, 1946: Louis Jordan hits #1 on the R&B chart and #6 on the pop chart with "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens”…

Of course a year earlier, with his 1945 hit record, Louis Jordan  was chastising folks for messing with chicks who were

“too young to fry”…

And, in 1954, The Prisonaires, that all prisoner Sun Records group (all imprisoned in the New Jersey State Prison system) once again reminded everybody that the young chick is definitely TOO YOUNG TO FRY (and they should know!)

METAPHORE ROCK—Ya gotta love it!

(Ann Arbor’s  GREAT, Bob Seger

We Love to Watch ‘Her Strut’…)”
