American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter…

He made his acting debut alongside his father in the fifth installment of the Rocky franchise titled

Rocky V (1990) where he played Robert Balboa, the on-screen son of his father's title character…

 

Sage Stallone insists nepotism didn't play any part in his being cast as Rocky Balboa Jr. in "Rocky V," father Sylvester's latest round in the saga of the Philadelphia boxer…

 

"I went up to the director's (John Avildsen) house and he put me in front of the camera," 

says 14-year-old Sage, who was born during the filming of the first "Rocky."

He also appeared with his father in the 1996 disaster movie Daylight… 

 

Since then, he had only acted in low profile films…

In 1996, he and film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles based company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of exploitation films...

In recent years, Stallone directed his first short film Vic which screened at the 2006 Palm Springs, California Film Festival…  

Sage Stallone was found dead in his apartment on July 13, 2012.
 He had not responded when 
an acquaintance called 
to check on him… 
The LAPD performed 
a welfare check, where 
they found him dead. 
Stallone had been alone 
in the apartment and 
according to TMZ his death 
was due to 
an overdose of an unidentified type of pill…
