"THE TARENA" (In Tarentum, PA) ROCKED IN THE EARLY 1960S


The TARENA DANCE CLUB rocked the (Allegheny) valley in the Early 60s, featuring great tunes from The Delcos, Nolan Strong, The Falcons, The Elgins, The Valadiers, The Heartbeats, Nathaniel Mayer,  Lightnin’ Slim and The Moroccos just to name a few. Check ‘em out…

Anonymous: I don't believe Bob Mack ever owned The Tarena, per se. He "owned" the "Dance Club" part, but the Orkwis (Sp?) family actually owned the place...

Bob Mack and his staff were the DJ's who operated the dance club. They also operated several other teen dance clubs in the Greater Pittsburgh area and as far North as Erie.
